Task 1

1. I use much affirming when it comes to Boyer’s idea of an enriched major. I completely agree with him and think majors should have a balance of technical education and liberal arts. I challenge Carter’s meta genres. Carter thinks that a major can only fit into one metagenre, but I challenge that business administration is two meta genres.

2. I need to do a lot of work for Carter’s metagenres. I have a lot of introduction for Boyer and the chosen major. I think I need to talk more about Carter’s ways of doing, writing and knowing in the majors more. This will help build up to a stronger introduction for his work.

3. I use a lot of quotes and direct evidence from the major’s catalog. I use this info as evidence as to why it’s enriched, and to why I chose the meta genres I did.
